April 18 - Sunday - McKeldin (Maryland)
THE TWELFTH ANNUAL SUSQUEHANNA STUMBLE
Patapsco Valley State Park (Mckeldin Area), Marriottsville, MD

The Susquehanna Stumble is a Billygoat-inspired event with a couple of twists. The competitors run between numbered windows in sequential order, but within each window there are several controls which can be visited in ANY order.

WHERE: Patapsco Valley State Park (Mckeldin Area), Marriottsville, MD
Note that the woods here are very open and fast with moderate climb, thus the longish courses. This is the same area where the Ran-It Granite A-meet was held last spring. The courses start across the river from the parking, so be ready to walk to the start by 11:30 AM. Both courses will also cross the river once during the race. You might get your feet wet. E-punching will be used for both the Long and Short Stumbles.

WHEN: Mass start at 12:00, Sunday, April 18, 2010. Be ready to walk to the start by 11:30AM!

WHAT: The Long-Stumble event will be ~18 km in length, with commemorative towel for the first 20 finishers and the first 5 female finishers.

The Short-Stumble will be ~10 km with commemorative towels for the first 10 finishers and first 3 female finishers.

White, Yellow and Orange recreational courses will also be available. Starts for the recreational courses will be any time between 12 and 2 (no pre-registration needed).

COST: $18 for the Long-Stumble, $12 for the Short-Stumble, normal QOC fees ($6 for members, $10 for non-members) for recreational courses. TO REGISTER SEND E-MAIL TO bergeron@stsci.edu AND TELL ME WHETHER YOU ARE DOING THE SHORT OR LONG COURSE, and also your SI stick number. Loaner SI sticks will be provided at no charge if you don't have your own (lost SI stick fee is $40-$60). Do not mail payment - just pay when you arrive at the event. Morning-of-event registration is also ok but you may have to draw your own course if we run out. Please register via e-mail by Monday, April 12 so we know how many maps to print.

DIRECTIONS: From I-70 ~7 miles west of I-695, take Marriottsville Rd north ~3.5 miles to the park entrance on the right. Look for Orange and White "O" signs. Park entry fee is $2 per person for MD residents, $3 per person all others. Parking will be near the back end of the park - follow O-signs.
