Mont Alto May 17, 2008 course results: White  Yellow  Orange  Brown  Green  Red  Blue  Meet Director: Eddie Bergeron Course Setter: Francis Hogle Helpers: Julie Keim, Don Davis, Marit Davis, Greg Lenon, David Onkst, Heidi Onkst, Corinne Porter, Mike Newman Fortunately the wet weather broke for a day and it was mostly sunny for the annual QOC/SVO joint meet at Mont Alto. Francis once again managed to squeeze a full complement of courses into the small north section of the old Mont Alto map, which is holding up well despite its age (1984). This year the map was converted into OCAD (digital form) from its originally hand-drafted copy in anticipation of an extension to the NE over the next year or two. We are expecting Lidar data for the new basemap by the end of the summer. Maywin brought a big bag of homemade cookies, which were much appreciated (especially by the meet crew)! We had 40 starts this year, which is on the high side for Mont Alto. Hope to see lots more of you at future meets. Hammonds Rocks - our last event of the Spring season - is coming up on June 1. Also DVOA is hosting an A-meet over the Memorial Day weekend in our area (Allentown/Wilkes Barre). White, Yellow and Orange courses will be offered on all three days if you just want to come out for a day.
