Meet Director: Brad Whitmore
This was SVO's first ever Ski-O. The weather (0 to 8 degrees, winds
about 10 - 20 mph) and the uncertain driving conditions up and down
the mountain kept attendance low. There was only minimal cover at the
beginning of the race, with loose branches and a few rocks sticking
up, but by the end there was an additional 4 inches of snow that
improved the cover but obliterated most of the grooming. Only about
1/2 of the trails were open, primarily due to fallen trees the week
before. Nevertheless, everyone seemed to have a good time.
