Mont Alto May 31, 2003 course results: White  Yellow  Orange  Red  Blue  Course Setters: Don and Marit Davis (QOC) Meet Director: Eddie Bergeron (SVO) Helpers: (Don and Marit hung and picked up all the controls, and pre-drew all the maps), Mike and Marilee Ball, Julie Keim Meet Directors Comments: It was another wet one at Mont Alto this year. I can't recall the last time it was dry running here. Don set some challenging courses on the rarely used southern "Red Run" section of the map. Due to storm damage and subsequent logging, the vegetation here is dramaticaly different from what is mapped, putting a premium on competitors ability to read contours, rock features and trails, while ignoring and in many cases enduring some thick stuff. Earlier runners had a slight advantage, as heavy rains and some thunder set in for everyone just after 12:30.
