Rocky Ridge November 10, 2002 course results: White  Yellow  Orange  Green  Red  Meet Director: Mike Wenz Course setter: Brad Whitmore Map drawing help: Mike Wenz, Eddie Bergeron, Brad Whitmore Helpers: Julie Keim, Michelle Wenz, Whitney Rufo, Eddie Bergeron, Mike and Marilee Ball, Fred Ayers, Spencer Downing, Drew Lehr, Chris Evans Meet Directors Comments: Many people came out to enjoy the wonderful weather this Sunday at Rocky Ridge park. Brad had set some challenging courses, and the line-O sections on the Green and Red courses made for some intense map reading skills practice (for some of us that is!). We had a lot of people show up to compete at the event, (we had 42 maps go out), but luckily we also had some good help from many SVO members (which is always appreciated!). In particular we would like to mention the help of Drew Lehr and Chris Evans from Troop 57 (Manchester, PA), who were working on their orienteering badges and helped out at the finish table. A special thanks goes out to the Starting crew of Michelle Wenz and Whitney Rufo who ran the start table by themsleves for almost the entire event. Not too bad for a couple of 11 year olds. Many people took notice of the "official Scooby Doo Start watch" that they were using.
