The turnout for the semi-annual Kings Gap orienteering event was overwelhming, with 103 people showing up. They had originally put chairs out for about 30, and just kept adding and adding until we filled the one room and overflowed into the next. Eddie, Mark Williams, and a couple other volunteers from the crowd frantically drew maps in the back room. The event went very well with lots of people taking copies of our schedule and saying they will be back for a regular meet. Several people said they had found the event from our WWW site which was reassuring. With this kind of turnout, perhaps next time we should think of adding a yellow course, since they tended to form one long line along the course and did more following than orienteering. I just hope we can get as many people to our regular events
