Lancaster Central Park March 17, 2001 course results: White  Yellow  Orange  The first orienteering on the expanded map of Central Park in Lancaster came off on March 17. The combination of wet weather and a low preregistration for instruction made me think I'd be lucky to have 10 people show. But, at 10 AM the cars started to arrive and by the end about 50 participated and 24 maps went out. Lots of good comments from the newcomers, so maybe it will catch on with some. We'll be coming back to the same spot on 5/6. Many thanks to Nathalie Borozny who kept Registration and Starts moving, Marilee Ball who spent a lot of time drawing courses and clue sheets to keep up with demand, and who also picked up many controls; and to Becky Hershey who helped with Registration, Finish, and Good Humor.
