Rocky Ridge Bike-O September 26, 1998 course results: Short  Long  Meet Director: Brad Whitmore Course setter: Eddie Bergeron Helpers: Paul Tucker This was SVO's 2nd ever bike-O. Great weather made for a pleasant day of Mtn bike orienteering. The low turnout was a bit disappointing, but maybe folks were just holding out for the big Foot-O meet on Sunday. Rocky Ridge is a great place for Mtn Bike-O, due to its large variety of trails (and their length). Bike-O is catching on big all over the world. We'll try to keep at least one bike event on the schedule each year, or possibly two, with one each season. The folks who make it out always have a GREAT time - its a good event for kids and families too! The location of controls near trails led to some problems this year with bystanders moving and, in one case, vandalizing our controls. Barry Lee is making himself the SVO bike-O king, with his second victory on the long course. Brad had a fast ride too, although his time was unofficial. Drew Richardson smoked the short-course, With Ted Mcdonald just behind him.
